~~~ Explorant différentes formes de langages abstraits, notamment dans les arts numériques, électronique et électroacoustiques, tant sonores que visuels, Félix-Antoine Morin est un compositeur et artiste multidisciplinaire très actif sur la scène culturelle actuelle et dont la carrière est actuellement en plein essor. Après des études en arts visuels à l’UQAM, il s’oriente vers la musique électroacoustique au Conservatoire de Montréal (avec Louis Dufort et Yves Daoust) en composition, analyse de la musique électroacoustique et nouvelles technologies de création numérique.

~~~ Il est également membre du trio d’improvisation expérimentale tttttttttttttttttttt (Evoc in Evens, Brise-cul-Record). Il a collaboré, entre autres, avec les musiciens de Nuclear Ramjet (2006), le collectif théatral Parabolik Guerilla (2007) et le chorégraphe canadien Serge Bennathan (2008). Le jury international du concours JTTP lui accorde en 2008 le deuxième prix pour FEED METAL DIRT et en 2009, il reçoit une commande des productions Totem Contemporain pour travailler avec les instruments inventés du compositeur Jean-François Laporte.

~~~Ses pièces ont été diffusées au Canada dont au Sound Play Festival (Toronto), puis à Berlin au Em-Horen, en France, en Turquie, en République Tchèque, en Suède et au Chili. La production actuelle de Félix-Antoine Morin s’oriente vers la création d’un langage stratifié mariant la musique électroacoustique et le cinéma dans un environnement immersif.


~~~Exploring different forms of abstract languages in digital, electronic and electro-acoustic arts, in both the vision and sound spheres, Félix-Antoine Morin is a composer and multidisciplinary artist highly participating in the world of art today, therefore bringing his career to new peeks. After his studies in visual arts at UQAM, he turns to electro-acoustic music at the Montreal Conservatoire (with Louis Dufort and Yves Daoust) where he takes composing, analysis of electro-acoustic music and new technologies of digital creation lessons.

~~~ He also takes part in the experimental improv trio tttttttttttttttttttt (Evoc in Evens, Brise-cul-Record). He collaborated, among others, with the musicians from Nuclear Ramjet (2006), the theatrical ensemble Parabolik Guerilla (2007) and the Canadian choreographer Serge Bennathan (2008). The international jury of the JTTP contest granted him the second prize for FEED METAL DIRT in 2008 and in 2009, he received an order from Totem Contemporain to work with instruments created by composer Jean-François Laporte.

~~~His works were played in Canada, among which the Sound Play Festival (Toronto), Berlin at the Em-Horen, France, Turkey, the Check Republic, Sweden and Chili. Félix-Antoine Morin’s current work turns toward the creation of a stratified language combining electro-acoustic music and film in an immersive environment.
